Folks; being a notebook user carrying an external USB drive loaded with data around with me most of the time, I surely would want to have some if not all data on it encrypted in a more or less "secure" way. Comin' from Linux I am familiar with truecrypt (pretty good) and encfs (suffices my needs in most cases). I have read about ZFS on-disk encryption wchich seems not yet ready for prime-time as well as some attempts of porting fuse based crypto filesystems to (Open)Solaris which also seems not that usable yet by now.
So to ask: What kind of toolings do you use for right this purpose? Is there any means of transparently encrypting file (system)s on OpenSolaris right now? Desktop integration would be a plus, of course... :> Cheers & thanks, Kristian -- Kristian Rink cell : +49 176 2447 2771 business: http://www.planconnect.de personal: http://pictorial.zimmer428.net "we command the system. calling all recievers. we are noisy people for a better living".
