I never used gnome terminal. I hated it for not supporting the <HOME>
and <END> keys the way I'm used to have them.

So one of the first things I always do is isntall rxvt. That terminal
program has normal key support.

However, gnome terminal -IS- a nice terminal.

Today I finally found a way to support both keys.
I had to change solaris' /usr/share/lib/terminfo/x/xterm file

That file has NO support for HOME/END key by default ;-(
On a modern computer that is a bad thing imho.
I hope one day to see a 'good' xterm terminfo file on solaris.
