I use transmission on OS X myself, and it's pretty stable there.  They  
share the plumbing underneath and made native GUI's for each  
respective system.  It's lightweight, and doesn't have 10000 features  
like uTorrent which people really don't need.  Claiming uTorrent is  
lightweight makes me laugh really, of course it is if you compare to  
Azureus.  RTorrent makes uTorrent look piggy because it doesn't have a  
GUI, but ncurses apps are plenty intuative for me, especially when  
they give me the added bonus of being able to run in screen.
