svcadm disable basicreg This is the service that checks whether your installation is registered or not and runs a Java program during boot. Obviously this is not recommended if you are using the Sun Update Connection. If you are running SXCR B55, there was a known problem with the gss service taking too long to start which is fixed in B56 I believe. If you are using Solaris Express Developer Edition with DHCP enabled by default, the default DHCP timeout is too long. Do this to speed up the boot: echo "wait 5" > /etc/dhcp.<interface name> Regards, Moinak. > > > This message posted from opensolaris.org > _______________________________________________ > desktop-discuss mailing list > desktop-discuss at opensolaris.org >
