Not sure whether it's better to switch to this in JDS or add the missing
functionality to the existing GNOME desktop resize GUI, but either case,
a GTK gui will be a better fit in the JDS consolidation than X.

(You probably won't be able to build it until we get the randr-1.2 client
  library and headers into X - I'm working on a xorg-server-1.3/randr-1.2
  test build that I hope to make available at least internally soon.)

Intel's Open Source technology center is pleased to announce the initial
version of a GTK+-based tool to configure the X output using the RandR
1.2 extension.

grandr, written by Ming Lin, provides a friendly interface to monitor
configuration and includes controls for video mode, rotation and monitor
position.

       Import grandr to git
       Add .gitignore
       Add more stuff to .gitignore
       Note hotkey issues
       Update build process to create .bz2 files as per xorg convention.
