AFAIK, cdrtools is now licensed under the CDDL, thus there is no
incompatibility as far as we're concerned. If the Linux community wishes
to get caught up in religion and politics (a.k.a irrelvant licensing
issues that are the result of mis-understanding their own preferred
license -- the GPL), that's their prerogative, not our's.

cdrtools and star (another piece of software Joerg has written that's also
licensed under the CDDL) are already integrated or have been approved by
an ARC for integration on some level (ON, sfw, etc.), therefore, the
decision has already been made that there are no licensing issues with
cdrtools.
