Bit strange... try upgrading the NVIDIA driver then manually updating the driver database to support your card (In the instance this attach failure is caused by it simply not being recognized) ?
Remove the NVDA* packages using pkg, and try the official installer. When the package bombs out, look at Device Driver Utility's PCIID for the device, and use *update_drv -a -i '"pci10de,0140"' nvidia* for example. First try the command with the built-in drivers of course, cause they are no doubt better integrated with Indiana. My XFX 9800 GT is not supported out of the box (Even to this day) with (Open)Solaris. Anything of the 9000 series not made by PNY is more likely than not going to not work out of the box, at least from my experience. Anything of a mid-6000/7000, 8000 lineage from most vendors do often work, but NVIDIA really doesn't put much effort into keeping the Solaris drivers current.
