Hi Desktop Community Leaders, I'm here to request core contributor grant for OpenSolaris Desktop community.
My work on this community is mainly on GNOME(JDS) project. I did request this grant in 2008, but failed. Now I'd like to request again in 2009 circle. For your reference, I summarize what I did in 2008 for this community: * Develop and integrate OpenSolaris Print Manager Phase II into snv_97. * Porting goffice and tsclient into snv_99, gtk-vnc and vinagre into snv_106. * Maintain modules in spec-files and spec-files-other includes vino, ospm, vinagre, gtk-vnc, devhelp, xsane, goffice, tsclient. * Finish report on issues porting OpenSource projects to Solaris/OpenSolaris[1]. * Actively work on spec-files-extra includes porting, fixing bugs and version bumping. You can get the my names in ChangeLog. * Discuss in desktop-discuss, but not too much. I can promise several things if I can get this grant: * Continuously fix bugs in spec-files, spec-files-other and spec-files-extra. * Add possible projects or modules for desktop. * Be more active in desktop-discuss. This includes answering questions, problem digging and solving, and etc. * Offer ideas related in desktop.
