I am going to compare the font.conf files b/t S10 and SX. As I mentioned in different threads, there is no problem in S10. But seriously, I fully expect this problem to go away when SX becomes S11, or when it's getting close to that point. I changed the "replaced" UI fonts from FZMingti to FZKaiTi, the StarOffice screen now looks much more tolerable. See attached screenshot". Thanks again for the valuable help.
