Hi Jim,

The engineer that worked on this is on vacation at the moment, but I'd like to
gather information before he returns, so it would be good if you could answer
the following for me:

Are you running default JDS, or development JDS?

Are you using NFS for your ${HOME}?

Can you provide me with a quick truss of gam_server?

If you have root access, save the attached gam_server script,and then try doing
the following:

        mv /usr/lib/gam_server /usr/lib/gam_server.bin
        cp <saved_dir>/gam_server /usr/lib/gam_server
        chmod 755 /usr/lib/gam_server
        pkill gam_server

Let this run for a little while, and then send me the log(s) generated as
/tmp/gam_server.*.log

You should probably undo the logging then by :

        mv /usr/lib/gam_server.bin /usr/lib/gam_server
        pkill gam_server
