Updated tonight from jds39 (working ok, just same problems reported from
others here on this list, see ekiga, juice extractor crashing).
Now , no user can log in from gdm login mask.
Only root can, provided the system says this is an emergency gnome
desktop. As a user tries to do the same but exits

Here's the only useful log
~ $cat /home/cristina/.xsession-errors

(process:102264): Gtk-WARNING **: This process is currently running
setuid or setgid.
This is not a supported use of GTK+. You must create a helper
program instead. For further details, see:

Refusing to initialize GTK+.

Don't believe Xorg.0.log could be useful as X layer seems to work ok.
tried to login from a new user with an empty home dir, but the same
happens. Done this just to see if my hom settings could be the cause of
this behaviour

If i can provide other infos, just ask please, don 't know where to look
for.

Thx for any hint
