Doug:

Sun owns a license for shipping the MP3 plugin from Fluendo with
Solaris, but not OpenSolaris.

It is not legal to use this plugin on OpenSolaris unless you have
purchased it from the Fluendo website.

    http://shop.fluendo.com/

Therefore we will not be including your fluendo mp3 plugin spec
file in our extra-specs, nor do we encourage people to break the
law by using it without paying the reasonable licensing fee. Please
do not encourage people to use this spec file.

Yes, I know that the Solaris binary is not yet available. The
Fluendo people have told me that they plan to make the binary
version of this plugin available for sale soon, though. If people
told them that real customers are actually waiting to buy it, that
would probably speed the process.
