Hi Duncan, You would probably get more responces reposting these questions to the laptop forum, but I will give it a bash.
Solaris uses the same Xorg code that Linux uses, so if you can find a working xorg.conf for linux on the net, then you should be able to merge it with the xorg.conf for Solaris (they are not exactly the same), and hopefully get it working. Have you checked the realtek website for drivers. I have used the rtls driver in the past on Solaris 10. Also you could check out http://www.solaris-x86.org/software/drivers website as this has links to various ethernet drivers. The other possibility is that there is a Solaris Driver, but the pci id is not one known to the driver, therefore it is not attaching. If you run /usr/X11/bin/scanpci as root, this will list all the pci devices and their ids. If you put the output of this command in a post to the laptop forums then they maybe able to help you. For the wireless nic, have you tried the Intel Pro driver in the laptop section of the opensolaris website? http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/laptop Also, dont forget to add an entry to the HCL on BigAdmin when you do get it working - http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl Doug This message posted from opensolaris.org
