Yes, there is a command which can do this. It's gnome-session-save. You can try if "gnome-session-save --shutdown-dialog" works on your system. As far as I know, it does not work for gnome 2.24 because rewrite of gnome-session and the fix should be integrated into build 115 with gnome 2.26. Regards, Jedy
