Hi,
I've checked out the latest mplayer sources from SVN and applied the patch
mplayer-solaris.diff.
I also am building using the latest SUNW gnu packages and gcc 4.3.2.
I hit the following error when building dsputil.c:
cc -DHAVE_AV_CONFIG_H -I.. -I.. -Wundef -Wdisabled-optimization
-Wno-pointer-sign -Wdeclaration-after-statement -std=gnu99 -Wall -Wno-switch
-Wpointer-arith -Wredundant-decls -O4 -march=native -mtune=native -pipe
-ffast-math -fomit-frame-pointer -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64
-D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE -Ilibdvdread4 -I. -I/usr/X11/include
-I/usr/include/SDL -D_REENTRANT -I/usr/include/freetype2 -c -o
dsputil.o dsputil.c
{standard input}: Assembler messages:
{standard input}:2301: Error: no such instruction: `pabsd %xmm0,%xmm0'
{standard input}:2303: Error: no such instruction: `pabsd %xmm1,%xmm1'
{standard input}:2309: Error: no such instruction: `pabsd %xmm2,%xmm2'
{standard input}:2310: Error: no such instruction: `pabsd %xmm0,%xmm0'
....
Does anyone have any ideas how to solve this? Is this an example of the
broken gnu assembler?
Thanks
John
