[desktop-discuss] Slow USB speed. Why?

This GNU mtools can supposedly mount FAT disks. Is it much faster than FAT32 
drivers? Does it use the FAT32 drivers, or does it bypass? If it bypass, maybe 
it could be used to quick copy?
