The Gnome applications that are included with the OS, as well as the gstreamer-related libraries, are only compiled in 32-bit mode. I'm not part of the Gnome team, however, so I couldn't tell you why that's the case. Indeed. For now, though, and unless you're building your own 64-bit Gnome, the 32-bit gstreamer plugins should work fine on the existing OpenSolaris distro. -Seb
