Hello, I recently noticed that the eject button on my CD ROM does not work if a disk is inside. At first the behavior looked like a bug to me but after googling a little it seems that it is a "feature" rather than a bug - the filesystem on the CD is automatically mounted when it is inserted and the eject button does not work unless the file system is unmounted. At the same time the eject command does work - it unmounts the file system and opens the CD-ROM. Why can't the eject button cause the same action - try to unmount and then eject? Or at very least cause a pop up message instruction on what to do to get the disk out instead of just not working. I noticed while googling that many people just reboot Solaris when they want to take the disk out...
Thanks, -Ilya
