Hi Folks, I've been running 2008.11 with the latest updates from the dev repository. I've noticed that if I decrease my laptop's screen resolution from 1400x1050 to 800x600 gnome-panel resizes itself to fit into the lowered resolution. However if I then increase it back to the 1400x1050 resolution I'm left with the desktop icons in various places and the bottom gnome-panel hanging on the left middle of my screen.
The icons are sometimes properly drawn on the left hand side and sometimes they are drawn in the horizontal middle of the screen. Applications I start appear confused and only occupy part of the screen, even when maximized. If I kill gnome-panel it's restarts itself and properly resizes for the screen as do the applications but that's a pretty inelegant solution. Is this a known issue? Are there any workarounds? Regards, Greg
