On Solaris Nevada build 104, I've found these directories that should be in
$PATH
for typical users:

/usr/openwin/bin
/usr/gnu/bin
/usr/bin
/usr/dt/bin
/usr/X11/bin
/usr/sfw/bin
/usr/ccs/bin

However, the default PATH seems to contain only /usr/bin, set in
/etc/default/login.
I can't find any additional setting for the desktop GUI, although clearly the
menu
system must have its own PATH.

Having only /usr/bin in $PATH confuses many people, making them think that
very little sofware is available on Solaris. In fact, most of their favourites
are
already there. Why can't all of the directories listed above be in the default
PATH?
What would be a reasonable order for those directories in $PATH?
