Hi all, I've just installed the latest Sun Ray Server patch for x86 (Patch 127554-03) on a server running Nevada build 82. Apart from the whining about SunOS 5.11 instead of 5.10, installation went without a hitch. However, when I executed the utfwsync (per the installation instructions), nothing on the Sun Ray clients appeared to happen.
According to the installation instructions, the firmware delivered by this patch is version GUI4.0_127553-03_2008.05.14.13.48. Alas, the version on my clients appears to be unchanged form the original: root at abyss1188# /opt/SUNWut/sbin/utdesktop -p 00144fa181f9 Current Properties: Desktop ID = 00144fa181f9 Model = SunRayP8-FS Firmware Revision = GUI4.0_48_2007.08.01.15.48 Multihead Group = Location = Token Reader = no Other Info = Current Status = Up Last Status Update at = 07/05/2008 14:54:30 First Connection = 02/17/2008 12:02:39 Current User = pseudo.00144fa181f9 The timestamp on the firmware files delivered with the patch are indeed from August last year, so the question is: where's the new firmware? Any pointers greatfully received.
