You, for creating bogus symlinks.

Are you familiar with the pkg-config command?

pkg-config --list-all | egrep -i pcre

would give you a first hint.

pkg-config --cflags "pcre" would give you a second hint.
pkg-config --libs "pcre" would be the third hint.
