Team,

I have a customer that is running into issues with a Gateway system.
He is what he's seeing:

device detection gets all green, include sata, except for sound/
joystick/and modem.

when I boot off cd, I get grub screen, hit enter, then when it gets
to probing devices, I get:

WARNING /blah/blah..... (sd0)
command failed to complete . . . device is gone

And he thinks that when it boots off cd/dvd it thinks the cd/dvd is
sd0, then during device detection, it thinks the sata disk is sd0 and
it cant read from the cd/dvd (which it thinks is sd0) anymore.

Attach is the system configuration that he was able to grab when he
successfully installed Ubuntu on the same system.

Got any ideas as to why this is happening?

Regards,

BB
