Hi Ken, The contributed builds for XULRunner on Solaris 10 isn't on the plan yet as I know.
I've shared the spec to build Firefox 3.0.x on Solaris 10 in this mail alias. To build XULRunner on Solaris 10 should be similar: http://opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=260452&tstart=0. On the other hand, many applications have their own XULRunner to embrace their patches. Some joint efforts from Songbird, Komodo/ActiveState, Mozilla, Mozdev, and others are ongoing to try to work out a solution for better distribution adoption. The best way is that all Mozilla-based applications can depend on the same XULRunner in one distribution. For example, Firefox 3.0.x, 3.1.x, future Thunderbird 3.0.x, Songbird etc. Cheers, -Alfred Ken Mandelberg wrote: > I appreciate the Sun Desktop Beijing Team contributing a firefox 3.01 build > for Solaris 10 sparc. > > Might I suggest they also contribute a XUL SDK build, Building xulrunner on > Sol 10 has the same issues as building firefox, and the SDK is needed to > build some of the extensions (like weave). > > > This message posted from opensolaris.org > _______________________________________________ > desktop-discuss mailing list > desktop-discuss at opensolaris.org
