On b118, using the wheel at the front of the M10 notebook would bring up the standard speaker image esd indicating the volume was being changed however it did not matter which way you turned it as it would stay at full on the feedback image and in the mixer and it almost seemed to flash erratically on the screen when moving the wheel if I recall. I just assumed not start posting about audio for that build as Boomer was just implemented recently and I was playing with an already outdated build.
I didn't remove package in b118 as I believe the display was working as expected now that I think about it, so this may be a corrected issue already in that build with the driver itself. While you are asking about b118 experience I will also say that shutting down/rebooting appeared "broken". On shutdown the console would show that flushing caches was complete and halt (not power off but stop), the hard drive would still have activity for another 1 minute and nothing would happen until you powered it off by hand. Same thing on reboot except it would say rebooting system (or something to that effect and exhibit the same results and never do anything. This may have been reported many times already, I haven't checked the tracker yet but since I just purchased this notebook I wanted to make sure all was working before think all issues are software (so far the notebook hardware as Toshiba designed it is flaw free even if we can't use all the devices like bluetooth in OpenSolaris). When might we have a new build in the dev repository?
