The audio device on my ASUS motherboard looks like this in `scanpci':

pci bus 0x0000 cardnum 0x10 function 0x01: vendor 0x10de device 0x026c
 nVidia Corporation MCP51 High Definition Audio

It has three built-in audio jacks on the rear panel, described in the manual
like this:

        Port            Headset         4-speaker       6-speaker
                        2-speaker

        Light Blue Line in Surround out Surround out
        Lime Line out Front spkr out Front spkr out
        Pink Mic in Mic in Centre/Bass

I had been using the lime green jack to connect to my stereo system. That seems
to be the logical one to me. However, with snv_121 I have to use the light
blue jack.
Here's how it sounds:

    $ audiotest -5
    Sound subsystem and version: SunOS Audio 4.0 (0x00040003)
    Platform: SunOS 5.11 snv_121 i86pc

    *** Scanning sound adapter #1 ***
    /dev/sound/audiohd:0dsp (audio engine 0): audiohd#0
      - Performing audio playback test...
            <left> ................OK   <-- sound
            <right> ...............OK   <-- sound
            <stereo> ..............OK   <-- sound
            <left rear> ...........OK
            <right rear> ..........OK
            <center> ..............OK
            <lfe> .................SKIPPED
            <5.0 surround> ........OK   <-- sound
            <measured sample rate 47974.00 Hz (-0.05%)>

    *** All tests completed OK ***

I do get stereo sound on the left and right speakers. The motherboard also
has pins for front-panel audio, but I haven't connected those.

The lime green jack did work with snv_114 but with only one channel. Now it's
silent. The pink jack works now but only with the right channel.

Is this normal behavior for surround sound, or is something still wrong?
