Fresh install (not upgrade). Some trouble getting the services
ironed out - had to clear inetd-upgrade and bounce avahi-bridge-dsd.
Maybe a few others too. Other than that, pretty smooth.

Once I re-enabled CDE sessions, en_US.UTF-8 worked fine again, found all
its fonts. Thanks! That had been broken in earlier builds, and was rather
annoying.

VirtualBox guest extensions and seamless mode working nicely. (Haven't
tried shared folders and maybe some other features.)

rhythmbox no longer had problems due to some display error; it just worked.
And it even played without dropouts. (I wonder if the latest VirtualBox, with
the ability to make multiple cores visible to the client, isn't also helping.)
songbird is also doing much better - still glitches a bit, but less than before.
realplay still works fine (on an mp3, anyway - not expecting much from video
when running virtualized, so I haven't tried that yet).

All in all, the audio situation looks better than ever.

Have to start playing with some of the new stuff, at least such as might
be expected to be useful under VirtualBox. Anything y'all want me to try?
(preferably not involving hours of trying to build something...)
