Running OpenSolaris with dev build123 (same happened on 122) and I'm
getting intermittent crashes of X, when using the mouse, the pointer
will freeze then 3 seconds later restart X and present me with the
login screen.

I've seen the details for 6875432 and was unsure if it was the same
thing:
http://bugs.opensolaris.org/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6875432

I'm running a beta build of VMWare Fusion 3.0.0 and here's the crash
info, with the xorg log below:
(Just want to make sure if it's an OpenSolaris issue before contacting
the vmware folks).
