Thanks. After I switched to CUPS service, adding network printers didn't work.
I tried to add (same as was in LP settings) socket://ip:port. It pulled up a
list of manufacturers. When I choose HP, the next screen shows nothing in Model
| Driver panes.
The output in console provided:
No ID match for device socket://ip:port
<manufacturer>Generic</manufacturer>
<model>Printer</model>
<description>Generic Printer</description>
<commandset></commandset>
Using ppds/SUNWfoomatic/HP/HP-DeskJet_400-pcl3.ppd.gz )
And when I hit back button there was a message:
