This is a known issue of cairo library.
I wish it can be solved soon.

=== *Workaround*
=============================================================
1) Use "Dejavu" fonts (default) for Firefox, and uncheck "Allow pages
to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above." in Firefox
Preferences -> Content -> Fonts & Colors -> Advanced -> Fonts.
2) Add a file in home directory.
$cat ~/.fonts.conf
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!DOCTYPE fontconfig SYSTEM "fonts.dtd">
<!-- ~/.fonts.conf file to configure system font access -->
<fontconfig>
<!-- Reject bitmap fonts in favour of Truetype, Postscript, etc. -->
<selectfont>
<rejectfont>
<pattern>
<patelt name="scalable"><bool>false</bool></patelt>
</pattern>
</rejectfont>
</selectfont>
</fontconfig>
Thanks,
Ginn
