There have been a rash of recently filed bugster CR's and doo bugs regarding the fact that progrmas which depend on the "Console User" profile being set properly is not working as expected.

A workaround is to modify /etc/user_attr so users that need the "Console User" profile are assigned that profile directly. For example, if you add a line to the file as follows, then the "username" specified will have "Console User" privileges and these programs should then work when logged in as that user. username::::type=normal;profiles=Console User Brian
