No, that will likely still silently redirect to 
pkg.opensolaris.org/release.  The packages in /dev and /release are 
repositories for the same publisher, and you're not intended to be able 
to install from both of them at the same time.

Currently the package is setup to install to /opt/openoffice.org3/.

In the future, you'll be able to use a "user image" to install it 
anywhere you like.
