Hi, This is a brand new load of S10U5 x86, the GMD greeter screen looks fine, but on a normal user login, the desktop is truncated at the top and bottom by probably 3/4". The result is that I'm never able to log-out or lock screen, since the lower tab bar is off-screen. Also, one is unable to grab any terminal and move it, since a new terminal opens flushed with the top left corner.
I've tried changing resolution, cleaning up gnome and removing the gnome temp files. I've also tried changing the monitor control (the little buttons right on the monitor that resize and shift the display). None worked. When I shift the display area, I just get a black border on the top or the bottom of the screen, it is as if the gnome windows manager is confused about the dimension of the display. Any idea what's happening here? Also, any startup windowing activity like opening a gnome terminal or firefox runs really slowly. Thanks!
