With sxce snv124, with the mouse preference set to left handed,
the left button produces button 3.

With osol127,with the mouse preference set to left handed,
the left button produces button 1.

I believe all builds from 125 onwards exhibit this problem, at
least on SPARC, and it would be a regression from 124 where
it worked properly on both Open Solaris and sxce. FWIW this
is a USB mouse. It fails on a completely fresh install of snv126,
so it isn't some obscure configuration issue lurking around
from any previous installs...

Every build I've tried this on (i.e., 124 and later) ignores the
gconf-editor setting completely, where Fedora doesn't (the
mouse preference tracks the gconf-editor setting and vice-
versa in Fedora, kernel 2.6.27).

So my original question must be modified. Are there any left
handed mouse users on SPARC who've experienced this
problem?

Cheers -- Frank
