Unfortunately not. The way sound themes works is that if there is a sound file in the /usr/share/sounds/freedesktop/stereo directory that corresponds to an event, it gets played. They are associated by filename, so the "window-minimized.ogg" file gets played when you minimize a window, for example. If you delete or rename the ogg file with the filename associated with the event, then that is one way you could stop an offending sound. But GNOME does not yet support a nicer (e.g. GUI-based) configuration mechanism yet. Brian
