Hi guys I'm planning to replace my current intel pentium d system running opensolaris 0906 with zfs boot.
Now I'd like to hear your opinion on the following two configs I thought of. I'm not sure which one to get. Intel - Intel Core i5 750, Quad Core, 2.67 GHz, LGA 1156 - MSI P55-CD53, Intel P55, LGA1156 - 2 x Mushkin SP3-10666 2x2GB, DDR3-1333, CL9 at 1.5V, total of 8G AMD - AMD Athlon II X4 630, 2.8GHz, AM3, Quad-Core - Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P, AMD 770, Socket AM3 - 2 x Mushkin ES2-6400 2x2GB Kit, DDR2-800, CL5-5-5-18, total of 8G I use this system mostly for work, so a few firefox windows with lots of tabs, a bunch of memory eating java apps and sometimes large file network io. and of course one or two vbox guests running windows and linux. regards Luca -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
