The new GDM 2.28 integrated in build 130, so if you are using build 124, then I doubt you are using the new GDM. However, to make sure, you can run the following command to see what version you are running: $ gdmflexiserver --command=VERSION The above command works with the old and new GDM. The newer GDM 2.28 also supports running: $ gdm --version $ gdmflexiserver --version Brian > On 01/25/10 05:49 PM, Alan Coopersmith wrote: >> >> At some point (probably when GNOME 2.28 integrated into nv_124), GNOME >> took over control of the X bell and started playing it through GNOME >> sound themes instead. >> > On 11/17/09 11:25 PM, bugzilla at defect.opensolaris.org wrote: >> http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=12235 > --- Comment #8 from Brian Cameron <Brian.Cameron at sun.com> 2009-11-18 > 04:25:34 UTC --- > >> Since GDM 2.28 will integrate into build 130, I recommend we see if >> the new >> version of GDM works better.
