The latest Mac Mini is of course somewhat different hardware (chipsets, etc) than earlier ones reported to work, which relate to your problem.
Have you tried the device detection tool? http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/hcts/device_detect.jsp Download it and run it under Mac OS X, and see what it reports. Note however that it only runs checks with respect to Solaris 10 or OpenSolaris 2009.06, not newer builds.
