Since you're running snv_134, that's ati driver version 6.12.4.

the other Evergreen devices in ati version 6.13.0. We upgraded from 6.12.4
to 6.13.1 in snv_147, so the new driver would be available in either
Solaris 11 Express or OpenIndiana.

fbdev can't work since you're not running on a Linux kernel. (Someday we'll
fix Xorg to stop reporting it on Solaris, but it's just a harmless log message,
so not high priority.)

"man vesa" should show you the man page for it. (Not great
documentation, but a little more than "none").
