I got the 3.23 version of gnome-ppp from a ubuntu archive. I'll have to do a search because I'm in foresight now and when I found that version I was in something else-probably slack-I multiboot.
There is this dialer (chestnut) http://www.gnomefiles.org/app.php?soft_id=774
And yes I do have wvdial it's how I'm connecting. I pretty much finished writing the how-to for pppconfig but would like to wait to see what dialer gui works.
In trying to compile gnome-ppp on my system I still get an error about gtk and libglade. I did update gtk:devel & libglade:devel and then did sync group-devel. (see below)

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
