That doesn't sound right. The latest version of gnome-shell for Ubuntu
is still the beta version. Nothing newer than "beta.1" exists even
upstream. And all our extensions should still be compatible with it. In
fact they are -- I'm looking at them right now.
Please run:
journalctl -b0 > journal.txt
dpkg -l > packages.txt
and attach the resulting text files here.
