Bug description:
Using Ubuntu 24.04, we are hitting a bug in gnome-shell 46.0 which is
fixed in 46.1. This issue is hit quite randomly and rarely in our
environment, so i am not able to provide reliable reproducer. The
issue causes crash like:

The relevant commit that fixes the issue in version 46.1, checking it seems
like this change is not present in Ubuntu repo:
