Well, if I had something to report in the last 60 days, I would have. I can say that the record is now 9 times before the burn dialogue would pop up, so definitely not getting any better! System updated/upgraded, but still persists in a major way - there is not one single time the dialogue has appeared on a single double-click.

After upgrade to 10.10, double-clicking an ISO image results in the cursor showing "busy", and in the taskbar a button appears saying it is "Opening...", but after quite a few seconds of this, nothing appears after the taskbar button vanishes. Double-clicking the ISO a second time finally achieves the desired outcome. Additional info: The only other thing I can think of to mention, though I doubt it has anything to do with this, is that after the upgrade Brasero kept (apparently) creating image checksums (though I couldn't find any evidence it was doing more than wasting time). I went into Edit > Plugins and disabled both the File Checksums and Image Checksums plugins. I'm not actually sure if the behaviour above was from the start (after the upgrade) or after disabling the plugins (since I only burned an image or two before looking for how to disable the annoying checksum creation).
