Title: When trying to edit my display settings for dual screen (19" and 22" widescreen), the field representing my displays in "Display Preferences" became filled with black squares, like a chessboard, showing only the parts of that display field which were not covered in black. Status in “jockey” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: The display field " drag the monitors to set their place" in Display Preferences became distorted, like a chessboard overlay: small squares all over the previously mentioned field. This happened after trying to edit the resolution for one of the monitors. Also, some titles (not the title bar, but just chapter titles in e.g. "Install") have several characters just blurred, distorted or also "chessboard overlay" minimizing/restoring the window did not have any effect. The same happens with Kubuntu, however, so aggresive in any picture/background tile in such an aggressive way that no text was reasable anymore. My computer's architecture: intel E5300, Ati HIS HD 4770 (512MB), 4GB Ram, (k)ubuntu 9.10 64bit.
