Matching subscriptions: dp-unity https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/783499 Title: Global menubar is hard to use on large resolution screens Status in Ayatana Design: New Status in Unity: Incomplete Status in Unity 2D: Incomplete Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: When using Unity on a screen with a large resolution (for example 1920x1200) using the global menubar can result in excessive mouse and eye movement. For example, if the window is small and at the bottom-right corner of the screen, to go to the menu you have to move your mouse to the top and then at least somewhat to the left, and that can be a long way. What's worse, is that it happens to follow the cursor with your eyes too and this has two drawbacks: one is that it is just more fatiguing, and the other is that you go over any other window that is in the way and it has a lot of potential for distraction.
