Title:
Activating nvidia driver breaks wired ethernet

Status in “jockey” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
After a fresh Karmic Beta install only the wired ethernet was working
(normal so far). Then I activated the wireless connection with
Administration/Hardware drivers without problems (rebooted several
times and both wired and wireless were working properly).

Then I activated Nvidia driver 185 (with Admin/Hardware drivers) and
after reboot only wireless was present in Network Manager.
Uninstalling the Nvidia driver and rebooting makes the wired
connection work again. I have tried both with the original Karmic Beta
distribution and updating with Synaptic package manager (10/7/2009).

  Thanks
