  gedit crashes on latex plugin

Status in “gedit” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  The gedit-latex  plugin is disabled when a .tex file is open, when i
  go to Edit-> Preference-> Plugins -> Latex Plugin -> Prefereces

  Gedit edit crashed and closed by itself.

  When the gedit is launch from terminal with: gedit myfile.tex, the
  following is the console output:
