This might be a duplicate of bug #974620. Switching off the hardware acceleration or using the workaround in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics- drivers/+bug/974620/comments/3 both works for me, but the latter makes the flash plug-in quite unstable (as mentions in the comments).
