This bug is still presnt in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS release with latest version
of gnome-control-center.

No maximize button on Appearance settings Window after un-maximizing
it
Status in “gnome-control-center” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
I opened the Appearance settings by right clicking on desktop and
selecting change desktop background. The new window of Appearance
settings opens in maximized state. If I try to un-maximize it by
clicking on square button ( [] ) , it goes in un-maximized state but
this window doesn't have a miximize button. Even the option of
miximizing via right click on title bar is also greyed out.
Theme used : Ambience ( default )
OS = Ubuntu Precise Beta 2.
