This bug also effects me. I get the same error message when trying to
access the Amazon MP3 store from within Banshee. When I run it in debug
mode from the terminal I also see the line "[15 Debug 23:12:15.908] DAAP
Proxy listening for connections on port 8089". Why is Banshee trying to
use a proxy in the first place?

This feature used to work, and I have used it many times before. It
must be related to some recent change.
